Our skin rejuvenation is not just about removing pigmentation, but also rebuilding the collagen and extracellular matrix (ECM) within the dermis to create a plumper skin tone and more even complexion. 

Our IPL therapy normalises the skin cells at the deepest level of your skin (the stratum basale). These cells migrate up to the surface layer (stratum corneum) and become the skin you see. If the mother cells at the stratum basale level are performing at their optimum, just as they were when you were younger, then your skin will appear fresh, revitalised and translucent. However, the tell-tale signs of ageing (dry skin and/ or oily areas, fine lines, wrinkles, large pores, pigmented areas) prove that our mother cells are not always optimised.

This is where our Espansione IPL technology is different to other types of IPL machines. Many people have experienced the benefits of IPL, but find the process objectionable to say the least. Our clients love our technology, and some have been known to fall asleep during a treatment! The light penetrates to the deepest level of your skin and works upward towards the surface, which is why regeneration, normalisation and reactivation of cellular process is so effective. This is in opposition to other IPL technologies, which work from the top down, hence the burning of the skin and the need for cooling.

Espansione IPL is state-of-the-art, which means that unlike other IPL machines on the market there is no contact with the skin. There is no need for gels, or for cooling of the skin. Not only does this mean less mess and hassle, but most importantly, it means no pain! You'll only feel a shot of warmth.

Traditional IPL machines use glass block technology, which requires a gel to create conduction between the skin and the light (around 96% of the energy is delivered). This produces a superficial burn, causing the skin to flag off, and is often painful, resulting in a sunburned effect. There is normally some downtime required, as the lesions must heal. In contrast the photo flash technology delivered by the Espansione IPL system since directly above the area to be treated, with 100% of the energy delivered by each shot. It's painless, leaves no sunburned effect and there is no flakiness or lesions to heal.
