Our bodies use vibrations to communicate. Much like a pianist producing beautiful chords, vibrations, caused when a small hammer hits a specifically tuned piano wire, producing the tune echoing through the room. However, rather than using sound to emit these vibrations, our body uses energy. The brain sends out a group of energetic vibrations (known as frequencies) that tells the cells what to do, from creating healthy, youthful skin cells to producing saggy eyes and wrinkled skin. It depends on the energetic “chord” that's struck by the brain.
Sometimes our cells communicate poor energetic information, which impacts on our health and our looks. Cellular messages can be affected by poor energy coming from our food, our thoughts and our environment. This can affect the vibrational information that is transferred. Just like a pianist miss striking a chord it sounds “off”. When the “off” chord is sounded in our body, cells start to experience ill health.
The problem is that information shared among cells helps design new cells. Every day millions and millions of cells within our body die and are replaced. To help construct these new cells, our bodies rely on vibrational information being shared among the cells. If this information is of poor quality, affected by bad food choices, a toxic environment or unhealthy thoughts, the result will be poorly constructed new cells. This causes cellular ill-health which in turn produces the skin conditions and the sickness we experience.
Fortunately, now with the technology from light therapy and microcurrent, we can reverse this process by providing good vibrational information. When cells receive good vibrational information (in the form of frequencies) they change for the better. As new cells are produced they are then made using this knew, better vibrational information. It is in this way that we can reverse the signs of ageing and reproduce healthy skin.
Microcurrent was developed initially to assist sufferers of Bell’s palsy and stroke. It is used in hospital burns units and in the sporting field to assist with muscle recovery.
In the 1960s Doctors S Baker and S Boyle demonstrated that effective and long-term muscle re-education could only be achieved using microcurrent if ultra-low frequencies (less than one Hertz) were used. Doctorr R Becker showed that to be effective, microcurrent impulses need to be delivered using a modified waveform that is able to overcome the body’s natural resistance to current (Ohm's law) without causing client discomfort.
Combining ultra-low frequencies with a modified waveform enables the microcurrent to recharge the electrical potential of the muscle by stimulating the spindle fibres that run the length of the muscle and attached to the Golgi Tendon Organ (GTO) in the belly of the muscle. The Golgi Tendon Organ simulation technique was developed by Doctor G Goodheart in the late 1960s.
Working a muscle from the belly outward will have a lengthening/relaxing effect that is necessary for muscles that have become contracted over years of facial expression such as frown lines. Working a muscle from the origin and insertion point inward will have a shortening effect that is necessary for the majority of the muscles that have become elongated overtime due to age and gravity.
Each cell in the body emits light. Light energy is in every nerve, cell, gland and muscle of the body and each emits its own unique level of vibration. When our body becomes out of balance, disease occurs. Each colour has its own frequency and vibration that has an effect upon the photoreceptors of individual cells. Chromatherapy uses this approach to restore cells to an even level of balance and stimulate the healing process.
The effect of light and colour does not end when we close our eyes. Light is required for our cells to function normally, and individual colours affect them by causing changes in growth and behaviour. Light and colour therefore affect our system at a cellular level. This is called the cellular bio-stimulation process, and optimises stimulation, remodelling and regeneration of the skin.
Light therapy is truly space age. NASA developed LED technology as a result of the problems of healing injured tissue in space. They found that red LED heals damaged tissue 200 times faster than the natural healing process of the body, increasing fibroblast activity and enhancing DNA synthesis.
Both visible (IPL) and LED light has been shown to affect at least 24 different positive changes at a deep level. Skin layers, because of their high blood and water content absorb light very readily and deliver enough energy to stimulate a response from the body.
Red LED increases blood flow and gets our fibroblasts working. These are the cells that produce collagen and elastin, very important to minimise wrinkles and lines and provide moisture and plumpness in our skin.
Blue LED is successful at destroying the bacteria that produces inflammation associated with acne, resets the body's internal clock, (fabulous for jet lag and sleep disturbances brought about by shift work) and results in a constrictive action on capillary walls, reducing redness and providing a calming, anti-irritation effect.
